Smile!

Doesn't this card just make you want to smile?  The smile itself came from the Pazzles Library - wonderful resource for crafty people.  Cutting out the smile was a breeze after downloading it, then a little pen tool work and voila!  A card is made.  The inside says "Thank You".  Well, thank you, Pazzles for all the great files in the craftroom!

Thinking Outside the Cutter

Sometimes I come across a design that I just adore - but can't figure out how to cut it out!

This card shows my thinking...  instead of cutting out all those scrolls, I used the pen tool and drew it on the paper!  I had to fill in the design by hand, but I was able to capture the concept.

The card below again shows the use of the pen tool.  Even if I spent hours and hours fixing the flower drawing, I'd never be able to cut such small pieces and be able to put them back together on the paper.
The flower is a dingbat - a non-letter based alphabet.  Using it on a sympathy card seemed perfect.

One Cut - Two Cards

Saw an image online and just loved it - so I re-created the idea for my own!

Here's my card.  I love the look of the cutout letters and the shaped outline.  What occurred to me while I was cutting this card on my Pazzles Inspiration is that I was using the negative image and the positive image could be used as well.  Below is what I created with that:

I used the original outline for a background label for this card.  I like them both and I'm so delighted to get 2 cards from 1 cut!  I love efficiency!
